Was on holiday in Brisbane in January and had my nails done here. Unfortunately the operator used one of those drill files on my old gel polish before applying a new colour. It's now May and my nails are still chipping and breaking. I've probably got 2 more months before the damaged nails have fully grown out. It really was disastrous. If you get your old gel polish removed avoid this method at all costs. The salon where I go in Melbourne presoak it, use heat and gently flip it off with an instrument. Their technique takes a lot of care.
